My first foray into HDR.

I think one of the myriad of things Shamin and I have in common is our love for photography.  Neither of us professes to be an expert by any means, but we enjoy good photography and we love to just clicking away behind a camera. A lot of our dates has just been photo shoots.  We would walk around somewhere, maybe eat lunch or dinner, then spend the rest of the time walking around taking photos.  This shoot happened around late  May or early July after dinner, and we were walking around Pasadena.

In lieu of Valentines Day, I spent Feb. 14 of this year at the Redondo Beach pier with my family, eating crabs, lobsters and other seafood in the seafood market.  I didn’t get much shooting in, but I was able to get some. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day.

I’ve been trying to snowboard and take photos more this year.  I hadn’t been planning on doing both at the same time, but I have.  Having just bought my 7D, I’ve been hesitant taking it out for my snowboarding trips, so I used my old XT. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the results.

City workers cut up a fallen tree on Bloomfield Blvd. between 166th and Alondra.

Southern California has been hit by weather uncharacteristic of what you would imagine of Southern California.  It has been raining and even hailing.  There’s been floods and tornado warnings.  Around my work/house (I live about half a mile from work), trees have been falling.  I took some photos on Tuesday of some of the stuff that’s been going on.
